Logan Windeler made a name for himself quickly this summer in the eyes of many scouts after turning in a number of impressive performances on the travel team circuit with both Example Sports and the Mac Irvin Fire.  But despite that, in many ways Windeler is now going to be starting over.

We say this in light of the fact that the 6'9 forward has decided to head to prep school this season, as he will attend Victory Rock Prep in Bradenton, FL.  In doing so, Windeler will also reclassify and become a 2018 recruit.  The news was confirmed to us by a source extremely close to the situation.

Windeler had previously transferred to Lincoln-Way West High School in New Lenox, IL after spending last season at Manteno High School.  However, custodial issues prompted the move to Victory Rock.  Windeler has a versatile skill set and by going the prep school route and getting an extra year to develop it should greatly increase the likelihood of him becoming a D1 recruit.

Illinois Prep Bulls-eye sees Windeler as a "European-style" big man.  That is because he has the ability to stretch defenses by consistently converting shots from 3-point land and put the ball on the floor.  Windeler is capable of playing either the 3 or the 4, as he has also shown us toughness as well as athleticism.

Victory Rock Prep has a history of successfully preparing and developing Chicago basketball recruits for the college level. The most recent example is Dominique Matthews, who is currently a sophomore combo guard at UIC.
