Although Chasson Randle offered plenty of remarks in his postgame press conference at the Shootout At The Hall in Champaign this past weekend to indicate that the University Of Illinois is in a great position with him when it comes to his recruitment, it is not stopping plenty of other high major programs from recruiting him. As it turns out, another heavyweight has now entered the picture, as Randle has now received a scholarship offer courtesy of the University Of Connecticut.
According to Mike Mullins, the head coach and CEO of the Illinois Wolves traveling team that Randle plays for, Huskies head coach Jim Calhoun called last night and extended the offer. While we still believe that Illinois sits right at the top of the leader board for Randle, there are still plenty of other schools that remain right there for Randle's services as well, including Purdue, Iowa State, Stanford, Iowa and others.
Randle remained in Champaign yesterday to take in the Illini men's basketball team's win over Western Michigan. The bottom line is that there are still plenty of suitors involved and with that being the case his recruitment will definitely continue to play itself out for awhile.
